Welcome 2014!

We rang in the New Year with a birthday party for Bradley. But I guess we are feeling our ages because we actually rang in at 11 and then went to bed! Wild party animals!

We played some Uno and some Jenga, but we were just ALL tired out so we called it early this year. It happens. We did have a good time, good food, and the traditional Sparkling Grape Juice toasts, which Ava declared is her favorite part of New Year's (you can see she had a death grip on the bottle by the end of the night!).

So, welcome 2014, I hope you are good to us! :)

At exactly 12 I was in bed reading on my phone....what a wild life!

Captain Eyebrows, Jr.

In looking through old photos, I have answered the age old question of where Captain Eyebrows originated.

(Here are some pictures of Captain Eyebrows )

We all know that Harrison has some pretty expressive eyebrows and they tend to have a mind of there own as evidenced in this picture:

So low and behold I have found this picture:

We now know that expressive eyebrows is apparently a genetic trait that was inherited from his father. :) Love them!

New Year's Eve/Bradley's Birthday

We celebrated Bradley's New Year's Eve Birthday a little differently than normal. We had a nice Italian meal and a couple of appetizers instead of the usual spread we do. We typically celebrate with the Rogers clan and the Watfords, but everyone was out of town so we just had a relaxing dinner and then some fun games.

Our preacher, Rev. Lea, even joined us for our yummy food and games. We drank a lot of sparkling grape juice and ate, ate, and ate. Harrison passed out at 9, but the rest of us braved the midnight train and rang in the New Year with our sparklers and toasts. Welcome 2013. :)

Bradley's Swearing In Ceremony

Bradley was sworn in last week for his new position of Alderman. In true Rogers' fashion, the kids acted like Grade-A idiots and we left not long after the swearing in. I was able to get a few pictures before I was totally embarrassed and left.

Between Ava hopping around during the swearing in to Harrison going up to people and saying, "Coochie, Coochie, Coo," I was absolutely mortified.

So now my husband is officially an alderman and I am so proud of him. :)

Look at those crazy eyes!

So proud....

Of Bradley. He won a seat as alderman in yesterday's election. Congratulations, babe! I love you!
