Snow Day

The day after Christmas we woke up to see what had fallen during the "blizzard." It was disappointing, but the kids were ready to go even in the lightest dusting of snow. So as soon as they rolled out of bed, we bundled up and headed out into the snow.

They were most excited to make snow angels, however, Scout had another idea and as soon as a kid was down, he was all over them. Scout LOVED the snow. He played outside most of the day and ate, ate, and ate snow. So much snow was consumed that he had constant accidents all day!

Glad we got to enjoy a snow even if it was a small one. :)

We couldn't find his new boots so he wore Ava's. Don't judge. :)

Snow Dog!

Don't mind me, I'm just going to steal your glove.

Ava is soooooo mad that Scout stole her glove.

He was gone with that glove!

December Events

December has been very packed so far with many, many events and lots of family time. :) We have had a lot of fun and it seems like December is flying by and Christmas is almost here again. :)

So far we have watched a Christmas parade and waved at Santa, Ava and I went to see JT and Jonathan in White Christmas, put up our family Christmas tree, and had 2 bouts of beautiful snow. We also attended Sorghum Valley where Harrison had a traumatic visit with Santa.

Even though it has been busy, it has been a great month so far and I am looking forward to Friday and the last day of school for 2011!

December Daily

Every year I try to participate in Ali Edwards December Daily Christmas project (www.aliedwards.com). The premise is to make a scrapbook that you can add photos and journaling to and having a document of your holiday season. I have tried to do this for a few Christmases, but this album was actually started last year, but with Harrison having just been born, I never got around to doing anything with it. This year I am ready to go and I am very pleased with the "shell" of my scrapbook.

So starting tomorrow, I will be documenting our month of December through little stories and photos in the hopes that in years to come we can look back on this holiday season with fond memories. I am super excited and ready to start. I will try to post every couple of days (but let's be honest, you know how I am! :)). I am hoping for a fantastic holiday season!

(You can find previous posts about this topic on the side under 25 Days of Christmas.)
