Scenes from a Monday

I am participating in Ali Edwards's A Week in the Life and she did a challenge a couple of weeks ago to carry your camera around and document a week in your life. I tried to do it a couple of weeks ago, but things were to crazy and I didn't finish a whole week. Since this is Fall Break, I decided to try again to document this week as a memento for Ava and I to both remember. So today I took photos of different things throughout the day and journaled what happened to do. I warn you that these are not the most exciting things on the planet, but do reflect our daily life and how day to day living was in this particular day in October.

October 13th, A Day in Which:

  • Ava and I got up at 8:45 a.m.

  • Ava was wearing her pajamas that say, "When I grow up, I want to be a fairy princess."

  • We took 3 trips to the potty with no success

  • For breakfast, I ate a leftover sausage biscuit and a little gravy and Ava had oatmeal.

  • Ava watched "Go, Diego, Go," and was really participating with all the gestures and answering questions.

  • Ava made her first smart alek (sp?) reply to me. When I asked her to take a bite of her oatmeal, she pointed at me and said, "No, you take a bite Mommy!" What a fight over oatmeal!

  • We worked on cleaning out the mudroom/scraproom.

  • For several minutes we sat in the kitchen and watched a squirrel climb along our fence.

  • Ava asked to go to the potty, but no dice.

  • We watched Monsters, Inc. on the Disney Channel.

  • I caught Ava behind her play kitchen where she proudly announced, "I'm pooping Mommy!"

  • We used the Halloween cookie cutters to make a peanut butter sandwich for Ava.

  • At 2:00 I took Ava to Nana and Pop's.

  • I continued cleaning and watching Entourage while waiting for Stacy to come over.

  • Stacy and I went to Las Lomas to eat and shovel in the food before joining Weight Watchers.

  • We dropped off a wedding portrait for a client and then headed to Wal-Mart to hunt down thread for Anne. (Didn't find it there or the fabric store)

  • Weighed in at Weight Watchers

  • Picked Ava up from Nana and Pop's

  • Met Dad here at home and watched Backyardigans.

  • Ava - bath time and bed.
  • Me - searching for some Old Fashioned Halloween Games - Bradley - Rolling CoinsSo, I ate the fatty stuff and made Ava eat the yucky stuff. but I had to get it in before WW!
Poor baby's nose is hurting from all the snottiness.
We have two of these pumpkins and they are treated like people.

Sometime when I see this skeleton on the door, I get startled because I think someone is there.

It's amazing that you can cut a shape into a sandwich and a nonsandwich eater will become a sandwich eater.

The map of campaigning. This belongs to Daddy.
My packaged portrait.
She knew the flash was on.

Yeah, I know it is a gross picture, but if I post it on here, it is incentive to keep going to WW.
She was said because she had just hit her head 2 times. On the same thing...

My WW stuff... we'll see...

This is so touching

I came across this article on cnn.com today and wanted to share. What an amazing story.

Horseback Riding

This was Ava's 2nd time horseback riding and it was a lot more adventurous than the first time. In Brown County there was only one stable that would let a child under 8 ride on a trail. Since we definitely wanted to do a trail ride, Mike made reservations for us to ride at Schooner Valley Stables. http://schoonervalleystables.homestead.com/

It was a much wider ride than the trail last time. We went on an hour tour of the woods around the stables and into Yellowwood State Park. It was a very hilly ride and I would say it was more like riding up a mountain and coming back down. Ava definitely did not like going down and got a little panicky. I also got panicky when our horse, Big Red, decided to venture out on his own and then my bridle came lose and I had no control over him. Ava also did not like galloping on the horse. This particular stable is the only one in IN that you can actually run on the horse. Ava liked it for the first couple of feet and then she was over it. However, it was a great ride, the trees were just starting to turn and it was beautiful. Here are the rest of the Brown County pictures taken by Mike and Bo.

Eye Candy from Indiana

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the little village in Brown County, Indiana. There are a lot of photos here so I am sorry for you all that have slow loading pages. It was so hard to choose those! There were mums everywhere and fall displays. It was just so gorgeous there!

Ava and I are back home and she is sick with a cold. We left a day early because of her little sickness. I have spent the day lazing around and catching up on the shows I missed while gone. Tomorrow I have a Dr's appointment to make sure things have healed since the D & C and then I am having a pedicure (Thanks, Bethany). I will be posting a ton more pictures soon!
Ava asleep on the way to Brown County.

Ava and Uncle Mike. Ava has developed a fascination with motorcycles and bikers and she refused to budge until waving at these two for a few minutes.

We thought this was funny because my grandparents are Weavers and they are now owned by the Rogers'.

Photo taken by Mike of Tiffany, Ava, and Nona (Bo)

This reminded me of Squiggles.

These photos were taken by Bo and Mike.

You know you have too many walnut trees when you have to put out a sign.

Saloon Folk

I know my hubby will love these 2 photos. He makes fun of my family and our desire for what he calls "white trash photos." So here are our saloon girl photos with Western Mike. Note Ava's fishnet stockings...

Currently in Indiana

Ava and I are in Indiana visiting Nona and Uncle Mike. Yesterday we took a little day trip to Brown County, IN and visited a little town there. It is set up like an old time little town with lots of fall decorations, shops, and pretty scenery. We went and had saloon pictures made and went on a horseback ride. Here are a few pictures Mike took of us during the trail ride.
