Just some recent shots

Here are just a few random photos from around our house lately.
She loves playing games; even by herself.

Baby Boy loves to sleep on his side and tummy (which I only allow him to do if I am in the room).

First Cereal

With Ava I waited the doctor recommended 4 months, but I caved with Harrison and we started cereal at 2 and 1/2 months. He's just such a big boy and I felt that he was ready. He has done a fantastic job. Some nights I can't get it in his mouth quick enough for him. He has had cereal every night since last Friday and each night he gets a little better with it. He is so interested in other people with food that I know he is longing for something else, but right now, we are sticking with just the cereal!

In just 3 months...

It is amazing how much things can change over three short months. In just three short months:

  • my love has grown and doubled from one child to two

  • we have become a family of 4

  • this adorable little boy has stolen my heart with his beautiful brown eyes and sweet smile

  • he and his sister have become almost inseparable

  • I have stayed busier than I ever thought possible

  • I already miss having a "newborn"

  • we have went through thousands of diapers (literally....)

  • we have become recluses because I don't want my children to get the flu

  • I have been more blessed than words can express....

Happy 3 month birthday, Harrison!

Harrison's Inner Baby Dialogue

Here is the conversation that I imagine is taking place in Harrison's head as he watched himself in the mirror.
Scene 1 - "Hmmmmm, interesting... who's that baby?"
Scene 2 - "How you doin'?"

Scene 3 - "Crack myself up!"

Our Valentine's Day

It's been a long week. I actually had to work five days and I haven't done that since November! lol Plus we have been glued to the Olympics so not much has gotten done.

I wanted to share this year's Valentine's Day pictures that I have planned on sharing for the last week...

Bradley and I actually went out on Saturday night to have a date and dinner with no children, so on Sunday we spent the day enjoying Ava and Harrison. I decided to make a nice, candlelight dinner that even Ava could enjoy. We started off the day making some cupcakes and then finished the day with our beautiful candlelit dinner. Ava was so excited because everything was so fancy and we even had sparkling grape juice in our champagne flutes. She was also excited about eating in the candlelight (and turned down ceiling light) and thought we should do this every night. The food was delicious. I made Rachael Ray's Neapolitan Baked Ziti which is so fantastic! I am going to have to do that again sometime soon. After eating we let Ava open her gift and she was excited about that too.

All 4 of us in the dark dining room.

Ava declared that the movie, "Up," is a boys movie.

Th Fancy Nancy obsession continues...

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's day from the Rogers Family. We are going to spend our day crafting, making cupcakes, playing with glitter, and watching a new movie. There's nowhere that I would rather be than with these guys and Bradley. Hope you all are as blessed with love today as I am.
