Harrison at 4 months

Here is a look at Harrison at 4 months old:

• He rolls over both ways.



• He eats cereal 2 times a day. Rice in the morning and oatmeal in the evening.



• He reaches out for everything he can get his hands on.



• His hands are always sticky and almost always have pieces of my hair in them.



• He drools constantly.



• He loves to play with his feet.



• He still loves baths and has now been moved to the big bathtub due to splashing.



• He makes the sweetest grunting sounds.



• He wears 6-9 months clothes and size 3 diapers.



• He has tickle spots (chin, underarms) that make him laugh.



• He is hands down the messiest eater that I have ever seen.



• He likes to watch TV.



• He loves to be smiled at.



• He wakes up at 4 almost every night.

Yesterday's doctor visit shows that he weighs 18 lbs and 6 oz and is 28 inches long. Once again, he is off the chart as far as percentiles go... Big boy!

Happy Easter

I am the horrible parent that drags her sick kids out to the Easter Bunny to have their pictures made. Ava has been running a fever and feeling yucky, and I think Harrison's yuckiness is due to teething (he has a doc appt on Tuesday if he can hold out). We have all been feeling puny at some point over the last week, so our Easter celebration has been toned down.

Happy Easter, everyone...we are headed out to hide some eggs!

I'm not kidding

when I say that he is the messiest eater that I have ever seen. He can't keep his hands out of his mouth long enough to shovel it in and most of the time he gets mad because I can't give him the spoon and let him do it!

A Surprise Visit from Grammy and Gramps

Last weekend my parents surprised us by coming down for a visit. While everyone was sleeping, Harrison and I were catching up on The Real Housewives of OC when I thought I heard a door shut. Then the phone rang and my mom said, "What are ya'll doing?" I said, "Harrison and I are watching TV." Then she said, "Look out your door." and sure enough, there she was with my dad. It was a nice surprise, but I have to admit that I was flustered since the house was a mess, dishes were piled in the sink, and I hadn't showered. However, it was a very nice surprise and we all had a nice visit. Ava cracked me up because I went to wake her up and told her I had a surprise downstairs and she said, "Did the Easter Bunny come?" Sweet girl is always thinking presents... ;)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We have enjoyed our St. Patty's Day and celebrated with a nice meal complete with green cake. Ava wouldn't drink her green milk and said it looked dirty. I think it was just because Bradley told her that leprechauns had peed in it! But we have had a nice day and now I am enjoying Spring Break!

Spring Fever

Spring Fever has hit the Rogers' house. With the warm weather a couple of weeks ago and with my spring break starting in 1 more day, we can't wait for spring to arrive. Ava has always loved being outside and the taste of warmth a few weeks ago has made her long for nice weather. Everyday when we get home we battle her wanting to stay outside when it is just to chilly for us to be out there. I hope that this next week and a half brings some beautiful weather our way (I haven't watched the weather, so I have no idea!) so we can get our there and enjoy it!
