A Big Girl!

I have tried for years to get Ava to get her ears pierced. Bradley has always scared her into not doing it by telling tales of big needles and blood.

Then last night after getting some stick on earrings from her Subway meal, she brought up getting them pierced. I figured that we better strike while the iron was hot so even though it was 10 minutes until bedtime, we loaded up and headed to the mall to get them pierced.

On the way there we talked and talked about it. I really thought she would chicken out. However, the woman at Claire's was FANTASTIC! She was so great with Ava and even though Ava was clearly nervous, she went through with it.

I was so very proud of her. Of course the daisy earrings she picked fit her to a tee. Then today she of course wore her hair back to show off her new jewels. :)
