A Wednesday Night at Our House

Last night I took pictures around the house of what was happening. We finally used our grill for the first time and Bradley cooked some yummy Filet Mignon, we hung out in the yard for a little while, watched the finale of American Idol, and just enjoyed a pretty relaxing evening. Here are the photos from our ordinary evening.

Ava the Adventurer

Ava had a Dr.'s appt on Monday just for a "well-baby" check-up. He said she looked great and he would see her at a year old. She weighs 21 lbs. and 4 oz. and is 28 inches tall.
As you can imagine, now that Ava is mobile (crawling and pulling up mobile), she is into everything. I followed her around the house yesterday and this is what I saw:

For some reason, she has an obsession with the crockpot lid!

We also got Ava's 7 month pictures back from Kori and this is one of them. She's fantastic. Check out her website at www.koriburkhead.com and see her pictures. Ava is still on the newborn pages (she is in the black held by Bradley's hands with her eyes open).

Our weekend visitor

On Friday night, Ava and I headed outside to see what Bradley was doing. We found him watering his vegetable garden with a little friend. This poor little puppy had wandered up. We weren't sure who it belonged to, but we could tell it was someones because she was wearing a pink, rhinestone studded collar and toenail polish. So Friday night Bradley took a sign to the grocery store in town with a picture on it and we waited.

In the meantime, we just had a ball playing with this little dog. Ava thought it was funny and liked when it licked her feet (but not when it chewed on them!). She would just laugh at her.

But on Sunday, we finally found out that this pup did indeed have an owner. Plus they live right across the street from us. Turns out the puppy's name is Lacey and she was adopted from the local shelter. We were happy to reunite Lacey with her Mommy and glad that we didn't have to adopt our new little friend, whom we called Sadie!
