New Year's Eve was Bradley's 33rd Birthday. We celebrated like we do every year with a party at our house with a few family members and friends. I have to say that this year I can tell we are getting older because of all the yawning we were doing before 9 o'clock. We usually do just finger foods and cake, but this year my friend, Stacy, brought over a pot of chili to go with our finger foods. The food was fantastic, but we have way too much left over still! We tend to go a bit overboard when we cook for one of these things. We played Catchphrase and Wii and had an enjoyable night. This was Ava's first time staying up until midnight and she made it pretty well. She got a little whiny, but not horribly bad. We kept up the tradition of sparkling grape juice toasts at midnight and Ava had her sippy cup that she toasted with. I think she toasted everyone two or three times. We also always do sparklers at midnight from our front porch. Ava was not scared of them a bit this time and we actually ran out.

Last of Christmas Photos
Here are the last of the Christmas pictures. I took a few at the Rogers' family Christmas on the 26th and then the rest are of Ava and her bounty. I know this was not all she got as some stuff was already put away, but you get the main idea. Ava was a very lucky little girl this year!
I just love these little hands...

Christmas Morning at our House
Christmas morning started off the same way that it did last year; I got up and took a shower and then we had to wake Ava up. Since she is still too little to be super excited about Santa, she doesn't get up at 3 in the morning like I used to do and then have to wait until 5. So Bradley and I went into her room at about 8 and she was just lying in bed. I so wanted a picture of her sleeping, but as soon as I walked in, she popped her eyes open.
The first thing she noticed when we went downstairs was her Dora dance mat. I practically had to pull her away from the maracas and go see what was under the tree. The next thing catching her eye was her luggage that Santa had brought in preparation for our trip to Disney World. Then she noticed her Little People. Since we had to be in KY by noon, we had to speed up the morning by opening our gifts to Ava and then her stocking was last. Her face just lit up when she saw all the Little People in her stocking, not to mention all the candy! Plus while she was opening her stocking, I tried to get my fix of A Christmas Story!
Santa had also eaten his cookies and the Christmas mouse ate its cheese. I hope they were happy when they left our house. Ava wasn't too sure about the food being gone and really kept fiddling with Santa's plate and leftover crumbs.
