Flashback Friday this week goes back to when Ava was 2 months old. This is one of my favorite outfits that she had. Plus, the picture of my dad and Ava is one of my all time favorites!
Yesterday Nana and I took Ava for her very first haircut. Her hair is not that long, but it has been growing in so crazy that I decided it was time for a little trim. I have been told by several people that a baby's first haircut gives the hair some encouragement to grow in thicker and not so baby fine. Ava's hair is growing and looks a little curly, but it has gotten so scraggly. I was completely prepared for the hysterics of the first haircut. Armed with my camera and camcorder, I was prepared to get some awesome crying pictures (anyone remember the Easter Bunny?) and just knew we were in for trouble. How surprised was I when my little girl got up in the chair and was calm as she could be. Very surprised I tell you! Of course, Laura bribed her with a sucker, which confused Ava because she couldn't decide how to eat it! Anyway, she did a fantastic job of not fussing and just took that haircut and even got a new hairbrush as a reward. Man, my baby is growing up...
The Budweiser Clydesdales made a stop in Dyersburg last week and we took Ava to see them. When she saw them she said, "Is a horsie!" She wasn't aloud to touch them, but she enjoyed looking at them. It was very crowded and the horses were starting to get a little scared because of all the traffic (it wasn't blocked off well), but other than that it was cool to see them so close to home. So, I am posting a ton of pictures and sorry to all you guys with slower connections, but there were so many I could hardly chose. I love the horsie pictures!
Every horse caravan needs a popper scooper crew. (Did I win the most random picture award or what?)
Sorry that I have been out for a while. I am in the middle of a SUPER busy couple of weeks at school. It should all be over on Wednesday so expect some posts at the end of the week!
Tiffany is the lady of the manor. Teacher by day and Mommy/ Wife/Photographer/ Cook/Maid/Scrapbooker/TV watcher/ Jack of All Trades by night. Bradley says I have way too many hobbies and I need to put some aside. I love to take pictures and scrapbook our lives. I used to read alot, but I find that I don't have as much time as I used to. I am entranced by my DVR and because of it I watch way too much TV! I also tend to make jokes in uncomfortable situations.
Bradley
About Bradley
This man of the house enjoys all things sports related. There appears to be no season that he doesn't enjoy. I think the only sports he won't watch are golf and soccer. My guy is a fan of The Price is Right and Andy Griffith. During the day you can find him at work in the family water business, and at night you can find him watching the news and Wheel of Fortune. He is an excellent story reader with multiple voices and a pro at making stuffed animals talk and dance.
Ava
About Ava
Ava is 5 years old. She is a kindergartener this year and has been giving them a run for their money. She enjoys Disney Movies and playing, especially with her Build a Bear, Flower. She loves reading and is starting to listen to chapter books like Junie B. Jones. Ava loves all stuffed animals and if possible would own a zoo full of stuffed animals. Her imagination is really starting to take off. She is an excellent big sister and a complete drama queen! She takes dance and cheer and loves going to church for her bible study class.
Harrison
About Harrison
Harrison (aka CAPTAIN DESTRUCTO) is almost 2 years old. He is a messy eater who prefers empty carbs. He loves to snuggle and I call him a cuddlebug. He also likes to put things up his nose. :( He enjoys playing with Ava and going outside. He loves watching the movie "How to Train Your Dragon" and loves to torment his sister and the girls at his Daycare. He can be super sweet, or super fierce. He keeps me laughing and on my toes.
