It's crazy....just daily life. :)

Sweet boy. Look at this picture. He dressed himself for church. Needless to say, I redressed him. Because, this just wasn't my idea of good looking clothes.

Ava looking at the book that was donated in her honor for reading over 100 books in the summer reading program.

Already loving his Halloween costume.

In fact, he wore it most of the night.

Apparently if you are a witch and need to be hexing, Food Rite is the place to go because you can buy a ton of chicken feet.

7th Birthday party- with friends

This year we did some things a little different for Ava's birthday. Since she is getting older we decided to have two parties; one for her friends and one for family. The friend party was after school on a Friday and I do have to say it was a big hit! We had an art party and Ava and her friends made canvases and other crafty little things. My camera battery died and I had to use the phone for photos. :) I had two teenagers come and help me with everything and they were lifesavers. Having about 10 little girls painting was a huge undertaking, but it went well and Ava had a fabulous time!

Depot Days - part 2

Daddy with the alderman in the parade
Here is the second set of pictures from Depot Days. We didn't take many pictures from the parade this year. Harrison was disappointed that there were no tractors in the parade.

We did go down the event several times this year. The kids did lots of bouncing on the inflatables. Ava wanted to ride the horses, but Harrison did not. He was more into the ducks and rabbits that they had.

And like I said before it was a great day and the kids had such a good time. :)

Must be Squiggles's brother

At the Depot with Daddy

This was a dragon inflatable. You go in the mouth and come out the vagina? Ava called it the butt and said it pooped you out. LOL

Harrison getting pooped out of the dragon. He only went in once because he said it stunk in there! HA!

Depot Days - Pictures Part 1

I love Depot Days! I believe that I say this every year. This year more than ever Ava was super excited about the day. In fact, the kids were both adamant that it was the best one we have been to and I have to agree.

The big event below was the Kids 1 mile fun race. Ava didn't want to do it and complained the whole way there, but she did a great job and actually ran almost the whole mile. Harrison was so funny running. His little legs went so fast and I was so proud of him. He was the youngest one and he did great! He even left me in the dust.

So proud of both of them.

Love it!

He was so proud that he even slept with it that night!

Loving it!

Recently...

So a million excuses and reasons why I haven't updated lately. Truth be told, I just haven't made the time. I can't believe that today is October 1st. Where has time gone? Honestly, I have been spreading myself too thin (I wish literally). With work (which has been CRAY-CRAY!), the kids, Girl Scouts, church leadership and youth, and everyday life, I am just overwhelmed right now. Work is weighing super heavily on me the past few weeks and I am trying to hard to play catch up everyday. Maybe I can get back into the routine. I can only hope. :)

Just some randomness from my phone. :) But truth be told these photos capture the little moments.
Looking so grown up headed to school.

After I dropped off the kids and I looked up I saw this in the back. Made my heart stop a little.

Ava painted her own nails.

School picture day

He loves me to grab his teeth.

Going to the grocery and getting "sample its" is their favorite! It is serious business for them.
