Superbowl Sunday

This year, as with every year, we watched the Superbowl. I watch it not for the game, but for the commercials. It was Harrison's first Superbowl, but I don't think he was enthused about it. None of us really were, but I have to watch in hopes of a good commercial and Bradley watches just because it happens to be a sport. Needless to say, I think they are all ready for baseball season. Personally, I wish we could skip over March Madness and go right into baseball season. One sporting event(s) I am looking forward to: The OLYMPICS! Yay!

This week's snow

This week's snow wasn't near as much as last weeks, but it was much prettier because of the way it clung to the trees. Gorgeous! Plus it made for a nice 5 day weekend for me. Happy Birthday to me!

So this is what 30 looks like? It looks fabulous from where I am!

Last Friday, I hit the big 3-0. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be and I didn't cry (well, not too much!). We had 3 days out of school last week, so it was a light work week for me (plus 3 days so far this week), so it wasn't too bad. Bradley took me out to eat, Mexican of course, while Joe and Anne watched Ava and Harrison. It was nice to be able to enjoy my meal, without distractions, and have some adult conversation. Of course Ava was so excited about the cake so when we got back to Joe and Anne's we had cake. Thanks to all for the gifts and cards. I appreciate all of them and thank you guys for making my birthday special!
I bet you guys didn't know I was so into barns and farm life. lol. This is the cake Bradley picked out for me this year.

Just so you know...

when we say "Drama Queen," we mean it!

A few weeks ago when Ava had practice for Homecoming, she choose that day to throw 3 huge fits. The first one was when I dropped her off at Nana's and she wanted to come to school, the second was when Bradley was trying to get her to leave the school, and the third one was about who knows what now. During the third one we were at home and I sent her to time out. She was mad and crying hysterically for about 3 minutes until all was quiet. So here she was, passed out in her chair, wearing her tiara. So when we say "Drama Queen," we totally mean it!

Harrison at 2 months

Here is Harrison at 2 months-

  • He usually sleeps from 9:30 or 10:00 at night until 4:30 in the morning.

  • His hair is starting to grow back and is so sweet and fuzzy.

  • He is wearing size 2 diapers.

  • Some of his (well most of his) 3/6 months clothes are too snug so we are moving up into 6-9 months.

  • He is drooling like crazy and loves gnawing on his hands.

  • He loves being carried around the house so he can see everything.

  • He loves trying to stand up when you are holding him.

  • He is trying so hard to produce a good laugh.

  • He makes little growls that remind me of a pirate saying "Argh."

  • He follows people and things with his eyes.

  • If you smile at him, he will smile back at you.

  • He loves to hear the sound of his name.

  • He is actually a very content and happy baby for the most part.
