Recently...

Just a few recent pictures from my phone.

Recently-

-the kids feel in love with Uncle Nick Knot and Sara's new kitten, George.

-The kids dug in the sand for dollar coins at the library. I do have to say that our library may be small, but it rocks!

-someone in our house had some really nasty feet! (Ahem.... Harrison!)

- we had our first fried green tomatoes of the summer while my mom was visiting.

- we have got to enjoy some nice outside time and Harrison has fallen IN LOVE with an old toy lawn mower that my parents have him.

Fourth of July Picnic in June

This past Saturday we had our annual Fourth of July cookout. We had it on the Saturday before the 4th so that we could be together. We had a great time. My mom had come back with us after we left Indiana and got to spend a few days here with us. Since we hadn't seen my family since Christmas we had a lot of catching up to do.

I look forward to this all summer long and it was as yummy as in the past. We were missing a few key players which was sad and we definitely missed them.

Can you tell she loves this dog?

He looks so crazed here!

And she looks crazed here!

Apparently Ava has some sort of affliction that prevents her from taking a normal group picture.

Scout fell head over heels in love with my dad. Unfortunately, my dad doesn't feel the same about him. But while he was here, Scout had a buddy for life.

We were laughing because I said his love reminded me of Dug from the movie Up. He loves unconditionally from the beginning. Here is Dug:

Picking Blueberries in Indiana

On our last day at Bo's, we visited a You Pick Blueberry patch. We got there extra early because it gets crowded quickly and because it was so hot! Last time we visited we arrived too late and were unable to get in.

This was our first time picking and it was actually a ton of fun! They are very organized and you pick in a designated area and you pick all that you want. Ava, Harrison, and I picked 8 and 3/4 lbs. They were delicious and so easy to get to. Such a fun summertime activity.

Ava looks so grown up in this picture.

And no visit is complete without a stop at Steak and Shake. We love stopping by on our way back through Evansville.

Visiting family in Indiana

Here are some shots that we took of our trip to Indiana. We had a great, low-key visit that just focused on lots of visiting. This is the first time in almost 2 years that I have traveled alone with the kids. This also marks the first time that I heard "Are we there yet?" over and over and over and over and over and over and you get the drift.

Aunt Bo gave Ava a pair of earrings she had bought for her years ago.

Exploring tractors at the farm down the road.

Tired out after a long day of travel.

Finding a mulberry tree.

Ava and I both loved the mulberries.
