Busy as a Bee...

Ava is a child that you have to keep very busy. She likes doing hands-on things and if given the right thing, she can play with something for hours (just ask Nana about the sticker book from Aunt Bethany that Ava played with for an entire school day). I try to plan little things that will occupy her and keep her busy and her favorite thing to do is crafts. She LOVES to make things. For Christmas, Santa even brought her a pack of white copy paper to draw on. She has her own crafting materials and makes all kinds of things.

One dreary afternoon I decided to try out a play-doh recipe that is supposedly no-bake. It uses oatmeal, flour, and water. So much for that working as play-doh. It was just a goopy mess. I kept telling Ava not to eat it, but she and Harrison love to eat raw oats and they loved eating this "play-doh".

Ava also loves to make cards for people and design things. One afternoon after school. she was playing with her bendaroos and she tried to make a clown's face. I think it looked pretty good for a 4 year old. She loves writing and I am constantly spelling out words for her to write. She is my crafting buddy and I love these things we do together!
