Flashback Friday

For today's flashback, I just decided to pick a page in the archives of my photo account since I am to lazy to stick an old CD in and download to the new computer. So, let's see.... I will flip to page 43 of the archives and see what I get!

Okay, flipping, flipping, loading, loading, what do we have here?

It's actually pics Bradley took of Ava and I never actually found out why she looked this way, but it sure was funny. These were taken in November of 06 when Ava was just a hair over 3 months old. Man, I love looking back!

We love to Wii!

Here are some pics from a couple of weeks ago when Bradley went and got the Wii. If you haven't heard, Bradley won a Hoops Challenge Contest on News Channel 6. He was filmed for a commercial which has aired several times (including 2 times during SNL the other night!). Anyway, he won a whole Wii system. After the initial soreness from the first few games wore off, it got a little easier. We love to bowl and box, and Bradley loves the baseball game. As you can see from the pics, I whooped his tail in bowling that first night. We have had fun playing with it, but have been too busy and having too much fun with the new computer lately! Anyway, thanks to all who have called or messaged us about the commercial. It was so fun to see Bradley on TV!

The Book Fair was in town!

I love it when the book fair comes to school. For me, it rates right up there with getting the new Scholastic order forms every month. (Sidenote- I don't think I ever thanked my mom and dad for enrolling me in the Scholastic reading program one summer and having books delivered to the house throughout the summer. I loved that and it was really fantastic!) I can remember growing up and getting so excited when it was book fair time at school. It is no exception nowadays. I still love the book fair, especially since our librarian caters to all ages in an effort to include teachers' kids. This time books were 50% off and I racked up some great books for $25. Ava got several books and I got a new Rachael Ray cookbook and a ghost story that I enjoyed when I was in middle school. Additions to Ava's library were:

Goodnight Gorilla

Alice the Fairy (this one is funny!)

The Wheels on the School Bus

and

When Sophie Gets Angry, Really, Really Angry

We have already spent a lot of time reading and Ava loves books. Here are some pics to celebrate the book fair and Ava's love of reading.

FYI

Not sure when my next blog post will be. Bradley and I have purchased a new computer and have to get it installed and get our info transferred over. My computer time at home is being spent burning my info onto disk and preparing for the move from our old dino onto our new computer. Not that anything is horribly wrong with our old computer, but with all my photos and photo programs, we needed a newer, faster computer.

So, I haven't forgotten about you, it just may be a couple of days!
