The Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday, Ava and I went with Stacy and JonThomas to the Pumpkin Patch in Dyersburg. It is held at one of the churches and it is such a nice little place to go during the week when it is not crowded. Ava just took off exploring and touching all the pumpkins. She had a blast playing with JonThomas and having him pull her in the wagon. She was just really enjoying it. So much that she threw a fit when it was time to leave and tried to steal another little girl's pacifier. She got a mini pumpkin that was just her size and a free coloring book and crayons (which she has tried to eat). We had a nice, good time with Stacy and JonThomas and maybe next year Ava will be a little more cooperative for posed pictures!

P.S. I know this is a long picture post because I took 127 pictures yesterday and it was hard to choose. I have also been playing in Photoshop some and I will try to post those and a movie from the Pumpkin Patch tomorrow!

Daily Happenings - Day 10

Well, today is the official last day (weekday) of fall break and I am very sad to see it go. I have enjoyed these last two weeks with Ava. They have been busy, but fun and I have loved spending so much time with her. Which is not to say at the end of the day we need a break from each other, because we do, but it has been fantastic! Here are some things to recap from Fall Break.

Occurances -

• Ava's First Trip to the Pumpkin Patch
• She has cut two molars on top (explains some of the fussiness and fever)
• Become obsessed with the Little People from Fisher Price
• Started feeding herself

Anyway, I took 127 photos at the Pumpkin Patch today so I am going to sort through those. Look for a post of those tomorrow or the next day. To tide you over, here is some video of Ava saying Wow, Wow Wubbzy.

Fall Break - Daily Happening - Day 9

I can't believe that Fall Break is almost officially over. Not a lot to show for it except for lazy time and time spent hanging out with Ava. Fun, but I should have accomplished something! Oh well! Time marches on.

This morning for breakfast, Ava had toast and an egg. It was the first time she had egg that wasn't scrambled and she acted like she semi-enjoyed it. She also topped of breakfast with part of a banana. She loves bananas! After a short nap and lunch, Nana came over to keep her while I went to get a haircut and to check out a cheerleading outfit they had at a local kids' store. When I got home we played for a while and then I finally got her to lay down and take another nap (which I slept a little bit of too). Then supper, Survivor, bath time, and bed. I am planning on taking Ava to the pumpkin patch her in town tomorrow in hopes of getting a few cute fall pictures to send out. We shall see though! Anyways, one more weekday of break and the dread is already starting! Have a great Friday everyone!

Poor Squiggles has had to sleep with Pablo all day. Funny story about Squiggs and Ava. yesterday Ava carried around a plastic spoon (think big serving spoon) like it was a wand. She hit Squiggles with it and Squiggles bit the spoon. Ava then said "OW!" and turned around and hit me. It was very funny.
