HAPPY 400TH POST! This post marks my 400th post on the blog! In celebration, comment and tell me who exactly is reading this thing!
Last week Ava and I were invited to go swimming with Jenna Claire and her mom. This was Ava's first time in a real pool. She was very skittish and scared of the water. It was cooler than what her little baby pool is, and of course, much, much larger. She enjoyed running around the pool and the idea of the pool, but the actual pool, not so much. Jenna has been taking swim lessons so she was just swimming her little heart out and after watching her jump in, Ava jumped in a couple of times. Luckily for a baby gift, some friends had gotten Ava a swim ring and she sat in it quite a bit. At one point she was fussy and wanted to "Get Down!" (out of the swim ring) but I told her if she got out we were leaving the pool and not swimming anymore. When faced with swimming or not swimming, she chose to stay and swim.
Since that day at the pool I have noticed Ava gaining more confidence in her pool. She actually has been laying in it, getting her hair wait, and gliding on her belly like a mermaid. It has been so much fun this summer watching her experience new things and have fun.
Whether or not Ava felt comfortable in the big pool, you must admit, SHE AND JENNA LOOKED REALLY CUTE IN THEIR SWIM GEAR!!!!!!! :) I'm really glad Ava and Jenna have become such good friends. I know it's good for both of them to have another little girl so near their own age to play with. Ava mentions Jenna every once in a while when she's with me, and a couple of days ago she pretended she was talking to Jenna on the telephone, so I know she thinks about her. They look so sweet together in the pictures on the blog, and it's evident they enjoy each other's company. They will probably be big buddies in the years to come!
ReplyDeleteYou just keep posting adorable pictures, Tiffany, and this old gal will keep checking your blog on a regular basis. I, for one, enjoy this blog immensely!

I read your blog every now and then to see what you all have been up to. Living so far apart it's hard to really get to know each other when we only see each other once or twice a year so it's kinda nice to get on here and see how you all are doing in between those visits!
ReplyDeleteTake care, maybe we'll see you Labor Day!
