Father's Day Recap

Happy Belated Father's Day to all you Daddys (sp?) out there! Bradley enjoyed a pretty low key day for his 2nd Father's Day. Here is a little recap and photos from the day.

  • Church

  • Sonic for Lunch/Opening Gift

  • Naptime

  • Supper at Chinese Restauraunt

  • Visit with Joe and Anne (aka Nana and Pop) and Wendy's Frosty's

  • Phone call to my dad (aka Gramps)

  • Ava's cuteness throughout the day hit an all time high with her trying to say "Happy Father's Day." It came out sort of like "Happy Fars Day." Stinking adorable!

What does every dad need? Grilling supplies this year.
Excoted about the booster chair at Nana and Pop's.

Can you tell they were bothering the cat and knew better?
Kissing the bunny rabbit on Nana and Pop's porch. This has become a little routine.
Saying bye at the end of the night.

A Budding Artist

Ava has been really into coloring lately and she uses every chance she gets to get out the "colors." Thank God for washable crayons (reminder to self to pick up a new pack today) and just loves to scribble around. As Nana can attest, paper is not the only artist medium that Ava likes; she also likes tables and chairs, especially padded chairs. I have found at our house, she loves to color on tables and herself! In fact, washable crayons can even draw on skin. We are working on this and trying to get Ava to draw only on paper, but if you see her with a crayon, better check where she's heading!

She is saying "cheese" in this picture.

Ava outside

Just a few current pictures of Ava outside. Since it is what she likes to do best, this summer you will be seeing a lot of outdoor shots. To catch you up on what is happening here at our house here is a little review:

  • On Friday, Ava turned 22 months old. That means in less than 2 months, my baby girl will be 2 years old. So let the party planning begin...

  • I added a little music box to the blog, so turn your speakers on when you come here and listen to some tunes.

  • I have ordered a flash for my camera so be expecting to see some test shots over the next couple of weeks.

  • I have selected a printer for my photography stuff so if you are seeing any pictures of Ava on here that you would like printed, let me know. I'll probably be testing out some storyboards and collages and stuff like that.

  • Father's Day was great, I will be posting pictures.

  • Special post coming this week of a full day in Ava's life. It'll be a big post with hourly updates of what Ava does on a typical day.

So I guess that sums up what is happening lately. I have so enjoyed all the comments we have been getting! Thanks to all you loyal readers out there! We love ya!

Ava Visiting the Horsies

Last weekend we traveled up to Murray for a family member's birthday party. The party was held at David's son's farm and he happens to have goats and horses. We didn't want to miss the chance for Ava to see some horses again close up and hopefully get to touch one. Like always, Ava was mesmerized around these horses. The most adorable part was when I kept trying to get one of them to come to the fence by saying, "Come here sweetheart." Ava, ever the mimicker, said, "Come here, Sweehar." She kept calling them "Sweehar" in the most adorable way. When we left, it wasn't just, "Bye, bye horsie," it was, "Bye, bye sweehar," instead.

Look at all that hair blowing!

Flashback Friday

Ava's First Halloween- Hard to believe that this year will be her 3rd Halloween. And since she is so opinionated, I am sure she will pick out her own costume!

A Few Older Pics

These were taken in May and I just have't gotten around to post them. But, I know you need your Ava fix so here it is...
Ava is into her stuffed animals. She loves her Backyardigans, like Lalo (Pablo) and Tika (Uniqua). She also loves her raff (giraffe) and her meerkat, Peer (Shakespeare).

How tired she is to fall asleep in Aunt Bethany's hand.

And stay asleep during diaper change.
And finally she will actually get on her rocking horse and ride it. She thinks she is a "bowboy."

Guess who made pee-pee in the potty!

This girl, that's who! Today she has been wearing Dora pull-ups and when I took her to the potty (one of many times), she pee-peed in the potty! It was a full blown potty party!

Hey Mom (Grammy)

Why don't you take some time of work and come down here and help me paint!
Love, Tiff
