9 Month old Ava

Ava turned 9 months old on Sunday. What a nice, little Mother's Day present. So here's what Ava has been up to:

• Houston, We Finally Have a Top Tooth! - Ava's top tooth finally broke through on Thursday! Hallelujah! It's just been hanging there. The other one is just under the gum and then she will have a pair!
  
• First Word - Last Wed. before I went to school, Ava waved at me and said, "Bye, Bye," now Anne swears she has been saying it for weeks, but on this particular day it was very clear. She is now starting to make the Dada and Mama sounds but not putting it together yet.
  
• Early Riser - Gone are the days of sleeping until 7! Most mornings, Ava is up around 5:30 or 6:00 it just depends on how light it is outside. Wears us out!
  
• Pink Eye- Ava had to go to the doctor for her first sickness. Pink Eye, which she caught from me!


• Big Girl - Ava now rides in her big girl car seat! (see below)


• Sippy Cup - Ava now drinks her juice from a sippy cup and just loves to gnaw on it! (see above)
• Miss Independent - Ava just has a mind of her own and wants her way all the time! But she definitely knows what "NO!" means!
