Ava has decided that she is indeed a big girl. For the last 2 days when it is time to eat, instead of going to her highchair, she comes running to the table and climbs up in a big person chair. She will sit in the high chair, but she prefers the regular chairs and does fine eating in them.
Yesterday was Ava's first play date. She played with a little girl who is a couple of months older than Ava and who lives close by. I didn't think it went horribly bad, but according to Bradley it was a disaster. Poor Jenna did not know what to think if Ava and since Ava is so used to being around boys, she was a little rough. She also wanted to share only the toys that she had given to Jenna and all others were apparently off limits. They were cute together and I hope Ava did not scare them off!
We also started potty training yesterday. So far we have done nothing in the toilet except stand in it and put our hands in it to play. It sings all these cute songs and had a sensor that tells you when you have made pee-pee or poo-poo in the potty. However, every time Ava would stick her hands in it, it would say, "Yay! You did it! Now use your toilet paper!" and she hadn't even done anything. We turned the sound off to make it more calm for now. I think we have quite a long road ahead of us!
So that's where we stand for now, first dentist appointment tomorrow! We'll let you know how it goes!
