Harrison - The Ladies' Man

Oh, Harrison -

I did it to my little brother and now it shall happen to you.

What, you ask?

Pictures of you wearing girl clothes. Specifically tutus and tiaras. What more could a super manly boy like you want?

On the one hand, you have tons of trucks to play with and love being so boyish and nasty. Then you turn around and bring me this tutu and say "Uh!" and try to step into it.

I oblige, because you are so sure you want it on. And then I dash for the camera so I won't miss it.

And dear child, when you are a senior in high school or working on being a real ladies' man, these pictures will resurface for my enjoyment.

You know why?

Because I am your mom and that's just what I do. But rest assured, it's only because I love you so much. (And because that pink tutu really brings out your eyes!)

Love, Mom

I tried to post this comment yesterday, but for some reason, it would not post, so I'm trying again...........It's Nana, and I am ever so excited, because Harrison said Nana today for the first time! I have been trying to get him to say it for a long time, but he wouldn't even try.....Then today, right out of the blue, he suddenly started walking around, saying, "Nan-a, Nan-a, Nan-a, Nan-a" in a sing-song/chanting sort of way. It took me a few seconds to realize what he was doing, and then I said, "HARRISON......YOU'RE SAYING NANA!", as if he didn't know what was coming out of his own mouth! He obviously knew something exciting was happening, because he looked up at me and grinned the cutest grin! I wish someone else had been here with us to witness the way this all came about, but.......I threw open my arms, and he ran into them, still grinning. I scooped him up and danced a jig right then and there, which we both seemed to thoroughly enjoy! He pointed to me and said "Nana" again, which was music to my ears! :) I know he was capable of saying it much sooner, but, apparently, he's going to do things when HE'S good and ready, and not before! :) In order to spread the news, we immediately called Aunt Bethany, and he actually said it so she could hear him, surprise, surprise! We then called Pop, and then Daddy, but he wouldn't say it for them. (Since this wasn't a life-threatening incident, I didn't call Mommy at school!) After school, I tried to get him to say it for Ava, Stacy and JonThomas, but, of course, he wouldn't. Then when Tiffany got here, I opened the door and told her the news before she could even get inside, but once again, Master Harrison would not oblige. Isn't it frustrating, albeit typical, whenever kids won't perform on damand?! ha Obviously, I'm super excited about this, whether anyone else cares or not. February 11, 2011 was a great day for this grandmother, because.......HARRISON SAID NANA TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the new pictures of Ava with her Disney Combo Pack and Harrison wearing Ava's pink tutu!
I knew Ava had ordered the information from Disney, and I knew how excited she was when it finally came in the mail, because she made the big announcement of its arrival to me early one morning before she left for school! She loves anything Disney-related, and she certainly loves getting mail! :) Anyone who has been around Harrison very much knows he loves to dance, so it shouldn't be a big surprise that he wanted to dress the part, by donning Ava's pink tutu!! After all, he watches Ava and the other girls at dance practice, and he KNOWS where those tutus belong!!! So, so sweet! :)
